A psychology professor, Dr. Carmen Westerberg is part of TXST’s Alliance of Researchers in Aging (ARIA), a collaborative group with a focus on interdisciplinary research in aging, including cognition, cognitive decline, dementia, and mental health.

About Faculty Fellows Projects

This project examines how sleep and social engagement affect memory and language in older adults who may be at risk for dementia with the goal of understanding how these factors contribute to cognitive decline. This research will help identify lifestyle changes or medical approaches that may protect brain health and prevent dementia.
