On October 8th, the Translational Health Research Center (THRC) convened its largest Health + Resilience Research Network meeting ever, bringing together faculty, staff, and community partners dedicated to advancing health and resilience across Texas.
The event focused on healthy aging, featuring presentations by Clay DeStefano of the Price Center and Dr. Carmen Westerberg from Texas State University’s Department of Psychology. Attendees engaged in discussions about aging research being conducted at Texas State and on practical strategies to support well-being at every stage of life, highlighting the value of connecting research with real-world impact.
Record attendance underscored the growing interest in this network and the importance of fostering partnerships that drive meaningful change in communities. THRC looks forward to continuing these conversations and welcoming new participants to future meetings.
