Substance Use and Suicidality
Uncovering Critical Links Between Substance Misuse and Suicidality to Inform Targeted Prevention and Personalized Support Strategies
ABOUT THE PROJECT

Research Pillar(s):
This research initiative is dedicated to advancing understanding of the complex relationships between risky behaviors—such as alcohol and substance misuse—and suicidality, including suicidal thoughts and behaviors. By examining how these behaviors intersect and influence one another, the project aims to identify key risk factors and patterns among individuals most vulnerable to harm. Insights gained from this work will inform the development of personalized interventions tailored to the unique risk profiles of at-risk individuals, with the ultimate goal of improving prevention and support strategies for those experiencing both substance use challenges and suicidality.
