Abbi Mott is Assistant Director of Translational Health Research Center. Her expertise is all things operations and events for the center. Abbi directs Health Scholar Showcase, THRC’s annual faculty research showcase, which has grown to be the largest university-wide faculty research event at TXST. She also manages THRC’s internal operations and the administrative side of THRC’s diverse portfolio of externally funded programs. Abbi has been here since Translational Health Research was an initiative and has been integral in helping build and manage what is now a university-level research center.

Abbi has extensive experience in administration, program development, and execution of externally funded programs, having worked on programs totaling over $20 million in federal and state funding. Prior to working at THRC, Abbi worked as the grant senior coordinator on federally funded grant programs, a private foundation grant, and at two university level research centers at Texas State.

Abbi holds two degrees from TXST; a B.S. in Family & Child Development and a M.S in Family & Child Studies with an emphasis in administration of human service organizations.
