Jessica Schneider
Director, Resilience Research Programs
Jessica Schneider directs THRC’s resilience research programs and helps develop dissemination and implementation strategies to increase the broader impacts of THRC-funded research.
Jessica is a Certified Research Administrator® through the nationally recognized Research Administrators Certification Council and has over 15 years of experience in research and grants administration. Her extensive experience ranges from proposal development to post-award administration, which gives her a comprehensive and unique perspective to research development. Her efforts have helped faculty win grants from the National Institutes of Health, the National Science Foundation, and the National Endowment for the Humanities, among other major sponsors. She has a vast knowledge of TXST research as well as the sponsors that support health, resilience, and translational research.
Jessica holds an M.A. in Technical Communication from Texas State University and uses her skills in technical writing, editing, research communication, and rhetorical analysis to help faculty respond to sponsor missions, communicate the significance of their work, and craft proposals for audiences outside their disciplines. She is passionate about research communication and the importance of translating science to improve health outcomes and community resilience.
