Maria Tomasso
Doctoral Research Assistant
Maria Tomasso joined THRC as a doctoral research assistant in Fall 2021 and has provided support on many THRC projects, including building the prototype dashboard for MAP I and serving as a Tableau instructor on MAP II. She is a doctoral candidate in the Department of Computer Science at Texas State University where her dissertation research focuses on global behavior analysis of agent-based models. She has a Bachelor of Science in applied mathematics (2016) and a Master of Science in mathematics with a focus in statistics (2020). Her prior research experience spans chemistry, public health, computer vision, and distributed ledger technology.
