Background:

Dr. Erica Nason’s primary research and clinical expertise focuses on trauma and posttraumatic stress disorder. She develops, examines, and identifies (1) interventions to decrease the occurrence and impact of sexual violence, (2) factors contributing to resiliency associated with better treatment outcomes for PTSD and related disorders, and (3) mechanisms to improve clinical decision-making for effective treatments to specific individuals.

Dr. Nason joined the School of Social Work at Texas State University in Fall 2017. She earned her Ph.D. from the University of New Mexico in 2015 and completed a postdoctoral fellowship at the University of Texas Health Science Center.
