Carolyn T. Chang directs Bioscience Education and Training Research Programs, where she leads research programs that strengthen bioscience and healthcare education, expand workforce pathways, and advance health and economic resilience across Texas. Carolyn collaborates with academic, employer, and community partners on research programs designed to align curriculum innovation, experiential learning, and professional development initiatives with emerging talent and labor market needs.

With extensive experience in higher education, research, and program leadership, Carolyn focuses on building sustainable, student-centered models for workforce development. Her professional background spans biomedical research, academic program design, and she is committed to fostering creative collaborations that connect classroom learning with real-world application. In addition to developing and mentoring students and faculty, she organizes initiatives that support professional growth and cultivate a culture of shared innovation across disciplines.

Carolyn is a certified facilitator of the Center for the Improvement of Mentored Experiences in Research (CIMER) Entering Research and Entering Mentoring curricula, as well as the Stanford University Design Your Life program. She also teaches fundamentals of research and responsible conduct of research, preparing students and emerging professionals to navigate academic and career pathways with resilience and clarity.
