INSPIRE
Industry-Synced Pathways for Innovation, Research, and Excellence
ABOUT THE PROJECT

Research Pillar(s):
INSPIRE is focused on strengthening the Texas workforce by preparing students for in-demand careers and supporting the state’s economic resilience. The project brings together partners in academia, healthcare, and industry to develop industry-aligned workforce solutions, address critical skills gaps, and ensure Texans are equipped with the knowledge and training needed for high-skill, high-demand jobs. By building infrastructure for workforce development and aligning educational pathways with employer needs, INSPIRE helps create a skilled, adaptable workforce that supports Texas businesses and contributes to the state’s long-term prosperity.
INSPIRE integrates rigorous research and evaluation into the development and testing of workforce frameworks. By generating evidence-based models that can be scaled and adapted to other industries and institutions across Texas, INSPIRE not only addresses current workforce needs but also advances knowledge and best practices for workforce development statewide.
INSPIRE is led by THRC Faculty Fellow, Dr. Carolyn Chang, who specializes in designing academic success programs with measurable results in student advancement and workforce placement, and has a proven ability to create sustainable, industry-aligned pathways in healthcare and STEM fields.
