Researcher Support Programs

Faculty Fellows

THRC Faculty Fellows for Health and Economic Resilience Research collaborate on research and grants that focus on a shared area of research expertise. With significant support from our team of experienced research administrators, Faculty Fellows work together with colleagues from other departments and disciplines, and at other universities, to pursue interdisciplinary funded research programs that align with THRC goals.

THRC Events

THRC hosts a variety of events that seek to improve physical, mental, and environmental threats to health. Join us for the annual Health Scholar Showcase, Health+Resilience Research Network lunches, and numerous other THRC-sponsored everts this year.

GIS Research Services

THRC conducts GIS research to understand how social, geographical, and environmental factors in a particular location can influence the health and well-being of residents.  Our GIS research specialist maps federal and state datasets to visualize differences in health outcomes among people living in rural versus urban areas, and to understand differences in populations at risk for various health conditions. Our center also offers grant proposal consultations to help PIs maximize study recruitment and research dissemination activities in areas where members of the target population live.

Grant Support Services

THRC provides administrative support to help Texas State PIs who need temporary or limited assistance with staffing for their funded research programs. Contact us to discuss how THRC's experienced grant staff can potentially help with direct services including research communication and marketing,  grant start-up activities, and/or TSP assistance for your funded research program.

Translation Services

THRC partners with the Department of World Languages and Literatures to offer Spanish Translation services for community-based health interventions and research programs involving participants whose first language is Spanish.
