Clarena Tobon

Clarena Tobon is a dedicated advocate for mental health and Interim Executive Director at NAMI Central Texas. Her passion for mental health advocacy has led her to speak twice before Congress with the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention. With over eight years of experience in nonprofit leadership and fundraising, Clarena has significantly impacted organizations such as United Way and Habitat for Humanity.  
  
With lived experience in mental health conditions and as a caregiver for her mother, Clarena brings a unique perspective to her work. She is also a devoted caregiver to her two school-aged children, both of whom face mental health challenges.  
  
Clarena cherishes time spent adventuring with her three children outside her professional commitments. Whether exploring new culinary experiences at local eateries or planning the family's next travel destination, Clarena finds joy in every moment of discovery and connection with her loved ones.
