Faculty Fellows Project:

Dr. Carolyn Chang’s research will ensure community health and resilience as well as foster a regional forum for the collaboration, support, development, and conduct among life sciences and clinical workforce leaders in Central Texas. Her goals are to find out where the Clinical Research Professional (CRP) community workforce is in demand, and where the CRP workforce needs to grow. Dr. Chang’s work will happen under her assembled Group on Health and Resiliency of the Life Sciences & Clinical Workforce of Texas.

Background:

Dr. Chang is the director of GENERACIÓN STEM and research training programs focused on increasing diversity of the scientific workforce. She has over seven years of experience as a researcher in basic and applied biomedical fields, as well as in higher education lecturing for undergraduate and graduate level courses.

Research Interest:

Translational health, STEM education and workforce development, aquatic animal models of human disease, lab animal health and husbandry, bacterial host-pathogen interactions and disease ecology
