CHERR (Community Health & Economic Resilience Research)
As a strategic initiative for investing in select research projects that impact Texans, CHERR values a “Better Together” approach to research, bringing together experts in various fields and engaging the communities and its leaders directly impacted by these concerns. Promoting transparency in research data and methods serves to strengthen application of strategies and furthers continued research.

Faculty Fellows
Central to our Community Health and Economic Resilience Research Center of Excellence is the THRC Faculty Fellows Program—an interdisciplinary cohort of Texas State faculty whose research informs our understanding of health and economic resilience in Texas. Researchers from various fields to contribute to growing knowledge on the role of resilience in building healthy communities.

Health + Resilience Research Network
These meetings are designed to foster interdisciplinary connections among faculty and staff, uncover new and ongoing opportunities to support health and resilience research, and showcase the research being conducted on campus through guest speakers. It provides an infrastructure to share research, learn from each other, and facilitate new collaborations with TXST researchers and community partners.

Project ECHO TXST
Our virtual learning network connects researchers and community members to ensure best practices are accessible to all, fostering healthy, resilient people and communities. ECHO facilitates global peer-to-peer learning through videoconferencing and collaborative dialogue and connects faculty with over 1,300 partner institutions and 1.5 million people worldwide to advance health and economic resilience.

Zeus Online Learning
Zeus is an online micro-credentialing program designed by THRC to serve healthcare and industry professions in Texas by opening successful pathways to degrees, certifications, or fast-tracked careers in high-demand fields. The platform offers evidence-based training for workforce development, translating research into practical solutions for the community.

The Central State
We are a Central Texas consortium focused on improving resilience in the San Antonio & Austin Metropolitan Service Areas using evidence from health research and unifying that information to create a snapshot of health among people and places in the region. We provide free, easy-to-use, resources to improve our community’s quality of life where we live and work.
